We will be tying the Frenchie. Don Micas will demonstrate how to tie it. The fly tying classes are designed for beginning fly tiers as well as experienced fly tiers. There will be members of the club at the class that may assist you in learning how to tie the flies. AFC will supply all the materials and equipment needed to tie the flies. The classes will be at the Arizona Italian club in the room behind the bar. The classes will start at 7 PM. The fly to be demonstrated and tied will be announced soon

We will be tying the BALANCED LEACH. Barbara Fayle will demonstrate hw to tie the fly. The fly tying classes are designed for beginning fly tiers as well as experienced fly tiers. There will be members of the club at the class that may assist you in learning how to tie the flies. AFC will supply all the materials and equipment needed to tie the flies. The fly casting class is open to all members, whether you are have never cast a fly rod or would like to improve your casting skills. There will be FFI certified fly casting instructors there to work with you. Please bring a 5 or 6 weight 9 for fly rod with floating line and an 0X or 3X 7 1/2 foot tapered leader. AFC will have fly rods and reels on hand for you to use If you do not have a 5 or 6 weight rod. For safety, bring a hat, sunglasses and water. The instructors will work with beginner fly casters as well as some of us that can use a FFI certified instructor’s guidance to improve our casting.
