Calendar - Month View
The event calendar shows upcoming club events. Select a view then use the navigation buttons to move
between dates. Click on the event to view more information, including the event description, times,
location, fees and any rules regarding attendance; you can also register for events from this screen.
Click on the magnifying glass on the toolbar to see search and filter options.
The fly casting class is open to all members, whether you are have never cast a fly rod or would like to improve your casting skills. There will be FFI certified fly casting instructors there to work with you. If you do not have a fly rod or reel AFC will provide fly rods and reels for you to use. Please bring a 5 or 6 weight 9 foot fly rod with floating line and an 0X or 3X 7 1/2 foot tapered leader if you have one. For safety- bring a hat, sunglasses and water.

ARIZONA AMERICAN ITALIAN CLUB
The next AFC fly fishing education class will be Thursday December 7th
Chris Rich of the AZ FLY SHOP will lead the class. He will talk about, where to fish, what rigs to use and what flies work along with questions that you may have.
The class starts at 7PM and will be in the game room of the Arizona American Italian Club.
I expect that the classroom may fill up. So please register for the class on the AFC web page,

Cinda Howard - Speaker - Topic - Cinda will present on opportunities in the White Mountains with an emphasis on streams that we may not know about. Some are on the Reservation, and she says they are accessible. She will also touch on some lake fishing and leave time for questions.
Cinda Howard has been an Arizona fly fishing guide for several years. She’s spent her whole life fishing and picked up a fly rod in 1996. She worked for the Orvis Company as a Fly Fishing Manager for eight years before branching off and starting her own business in 2012. Cinda spends a considerable amount of time instructing people on the sport of fly fishing.
Cinda has been featured in several flyfishing articles and books (“Fly Fisher’s Guide to Arizona” by Will Jordan, “Arizona’s Official Fishing Guide” by Arizona Highways and Arizona Game and Fish Department) as an expert on fly fishing Arizona. She is extremely passionate not only about fly fishing but also about teaching others. She hosts trips all across the world and has taken customers fly fishing in Alaska, Belize, Oregon, Montana, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and The Bahamas. Cinda loves to fish for trout, steelhead, pike, carp, bonefish, tarpon and anything else that will eat a fly. She is a past President of Desert Fly Casters and is a Zane Grey Trout Unlimited board member.
