J D Dam is located South of Williams AZ. It is one of ten proposed Blue Ribbon-designated fisheries in Arizona. It is a small lake that can be fished from shore or a float tube. We can camp at Whitehorse Lake or in the forest, take your pick. Mid-week will avoid the traffic on I-17, maybe.

Fly Casting The fly casting class is open to all members, whether you are have never cast a fly rod or would like to improve your casting skills. There will be FFI certified fly casting instructors there to work with you. Please bring a 5 or 6 weight 9 foot fly rod with floating line and an 0X 7 1/2 foot tapered leader. AFC will have fly rods and reels available for you to use. For safety, bring a hat, sunglasses and water. There will be FFI certified fly casting instructors there to work with you. The instructors will work with beginner fly casters as well as some of us that can use a FFI certified instructor’s guidance to improve our casting. Please read the document IMPROVING YOUR FLY CASTING. It can be found by opening the Education tab and then opening the FLY CASTING folder, next pressing the green down arrow to open the document. We meet just south of the North East corner of the park. Look for the AFC flag
