Just returned from the AFC sponsored fishing outing at Lee's Ferry. Eight members signed up for the trip and it was amazing experience to fish one of the most beautiful fisheries in the world. Everyone had experienced guides, that know where the fish are holding and the proper rig set up for the maximum results. We fished scuds and zebra midges on a droper pattern with indicators set for proper depth, and had good results.
The lodging was comfortable and the restaurant had a verity of choices on the menu.
One of the highlights of the trip was meeting new friends and great conversations.
The club should consider this outing for twice a year. It's 4 to 5 hours from the valley and good fishing. If you haven't had the opportunity, do yourself a favor and go.
A helpful suggestion is fish the Ferry during the week and not the weekend. Too many kayakers and the flow is to low for good fishing
