Fish Camp 2009

The First Annual Fish Camp was held on Saturday, October 24th at Steele Indian School Park, and was a HUGE success! Volunteers made it possible to give the kids one-on-one instruction. There were 16 youth at the morning session, and 12 older youth at the afternoon session. Several years ago a Memorial Fund in Memory of Steve Lockett (son of longtime AFC member and past AFC president) was set up by the Club to be used for youth activities. This event was supported by money from this memorial fund, as well as donations of fishing equipment from Cabelas. AZ Game and Fish and Trout Unlimited also supported this event.
